The Alchemist

                                                                 Part One


Santiago is a young Spanish man who lives in Andalusia. His father wanted him to be a priest because he was educated but instead he became a shepherd so he could purchase his dream of travelling from a place to another. While traveling around Andalusia, Santiago makes a last stop at a place called Tarifa where he will meet a Gypsy women before going to the city where he a shopkeeper’s daughter from a year. He went to a Gypsy to help him in interpreting his dream that he had twice. The dream was that kids played with his sheep that he usually doesn’t allow to anyone to touch them, and then a kid take him to the pyramids in Egypt and tell him that there is a treasure and before showing where it is, the dream stops at the same place twice. So the Gypsy tells him, that there is a real a treasure and that he should go and search for it and if he finds it, he will give her one tenth of the treasure. In the first place, he didn’t believe the dream interpreter, so he continued his way to the city and sat on a bench for some moment reading a book. Then an old man came and sat next to him introducing himself as Milchizedek, king of Salem. The old man decided to help him in taking his decision but Santiago should give him one tenth of his sheep. Milchizedek gives him a black and a white to stone, to make him take the decision. His decision was to take the adventure and go to Egypt in order to find the treasure.  On his way to Egypt, he has stopped in an Arabic village where a Spanish man told him that he will help him but at the end he was a thief and took all his money. In this strange city, our hero, Santiago finds a job in a crystal shop to collect money to continue his path but it was impossible to have much money to reach his destination. So at the end he decided to take the job and start to buy sheep.
